2002 SC1
Default The black rubberized/plastic trim around the edges of the car

Other cars have this same trim and I always wondered what, if anything, could be done to condition or prevent these from fading and/or drying out. Anytime I washed my '94 SL and hit this trim around the car, the cloth I was using had a dark black streak on it almost like the rubber is wearing off or something...

Periodically use this stuff: https://www.amazon.com/303-Products-.../dp/B004MAOEKG
Initially weekly until the trim quits shedding black. Search for pricing as this is expensive.

Would this work? I have some of this in my garage. It seems like it is a comparable product and has UV protection. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001T...rpL&ref=plSrch

POR-15® Boss Gloss seems to be Out of Stock
Has it been re-labeled and is being sold under another brand name?

Competition Clutch 10Lb. Flywheel. 14 stalls to date (and loving it).
Oil use is 1 ounce per 100 miles with ~230,000 miles on the engine
