Default Condition of Valve System?

So now that I have the valve cover off, what do you guys think of the condition of the inside? Anything you can point out? also what about the chain? It looks pretty good to me but of course I'm not an expert if I'm asking this in the first place!

You're missing half of the valves.

Congratulations on purchasing from a functional person who knew how to change oil !
...
Competition Clutch 10Lb. Flywheel. 14 stalls to date (and loving it).
Oil use is 1 ounce per 100 miles with ~230,000 miles on the engine

Keep it looking that nice by treating it to some synthetic oil changes hereafter. M1 5W-30 extended is only $20 at Mallwart, and M1-209 filters. Then you can change oil every 6K to 8K miles vs. 3.5K

Yep! Doing 5W-30 full synthetic Valvoline oil with K&N HP filter. Planning on 5k oil changes to be safe.

204,062, 3K oil changes (mostly, got lazy when it got older), Castrol. Original owner.

I don't know what it looks like under there 10,000 miles since the rebuild, but it runs sweet. And, uses no oil.

This is also at 204,062 miles. It cleaned up nice!
