95 SL2 blows cruise control fuse
My daughter's 95 SL2 auto is blowing the cruise control fuse. I did a test ride with her after replacing the fuse, and it blew the new fuse about 20 seconds after she engaged the cruise on the highway. It held speed normally and then popped the fuse. Any ideas on where to start troubleshooting this?

Perhaps most folks aren't familiar with how the cruise works to venture a guess.
 Does it blow the fuse when merely turned on or only after it is engaged to hold speed? If it blows when trying to hold speed then I would suspect whatever runs the actuator (is there an electric motor that runs the vacuum actuator?) may be going bad. |

It appears to be blowing when trying to hold speed. It was on for a minute or so, then she pressed "Set" and maybe 30 seconds later the fuse blew (actually heard it pop). I have no idea what's involved in the cruise control system...

check the draw on the little actuator/motor under the hood by running two wires into the car temporarily to your trusty multimeter...one to the positive in the wiring harness to the motor, one to the positive terminal on the motor...check the draw
