Default Leftover Part from headliner

Today I removed headliner to glue on new material. I was removing back grab handle and this piece of metal fell. I could not figure out were it goes.

I watched Richpin's video and did not remember seeing anything like that when he removed a headliner?

How important is this part? Headliner is already installed.

That's the bracket the grab handle goes into. You could easily drop a corner and re-assemble.

Yeah, it's a reinforcement plate. You can slip it in from underneath the door opening with minimal dissassembly. You can kind of figure out orientation from the marks from the fastener. I remember the pass front handle had this for sure but the rears too? I think it's for when you pull yourself out using the ***** bar!

I am thinking it should have been on front due to weight. I am somewhat dyslexic and easily get things confused.

My logical mind said it should go on front grab handle. My dyslexic mind recalls it falling when removing back grab handle.

Probably not too important at this point. I do not remember anyone ever using the grab handle to support weight.

Thanks!
