Default Need quick help! Intake manifold

How many bolt/nuts hold on the intake manifold on a '97 SW2 DOHC?

I know there are two bracket bolts too.

I have 6 of them off and suspect there are more but can't find them!

how many should I be looking for?

any tricks to getting it off the head?

There are eight - four above and for below.

there is a "hidden" one behind the power steering pump (you will have to loosen to get to it). The rest are pretty visible.

ok, ifound 7 of em where is #8 hiding?

i only found one under the power steering unit it was low, the going towards the otehr end of the engine next I found one high. between intake one and two, then one low between intake 2 and 3, the one high between 3 and 4.

then after intake four there are two, right above an below each other, then a final one on the end. which makes 7. where is number 8?

thanks again! i was browsing that site while asking the question.

I found the intake manifold gasket and it only had 7 bolt holes.

I wiggled it a little and determined that my powersteering bracket was still holding it tight against the intake. loosed it and viola! it's loose!

Now my only problem is HOW do you get that stinking waterhose clamp loose that goes to the intake manifold?

the "tits" you use the pliers on are facing the firewall and there is no way to get a grip on them.

any suggestions are welcome! I may just cut the hose and be done with it!
