Default Mesh Support under drivers seat... (common caved in drivers seat)

Hey guys,

Since ive had my L the drivers seat has been caved in, today i reached under it while cleaning out the car and felt the whole cushion on the floor, i shoved it back in place and found the mesh support underneath is broken.

What is part number "3" on that picture and where can i buy one? its the piece that broke.

for now i took 2 bungie cords and x crossed them under the cushion and put 2 pieces of wood between the cords and the cushion to make it support and its working but i want to properly replace this in the future..

Thanks,
Matt

Maybe. I am surprised that it is done this way. I have had no issues with the seats.

No you're not - this just happened to my 2002 LW300 as well!!! Have you found a fix yet? In my car it looks like it is two pieces that joined at the middle, and they separated. I was planning on pulling the seat out over the weekend and seeing if I can either repair it, or swap it with the passenger seat cushion.

a real fix? no but i took some pieces of wood and a bungie cord and ran it back and forth between where the support was and it kind of works.

You could also try making the part out of something a bit more heavy duty, such as a canvas material, that may be a cheaper fix than buying a new part.
