Default Oil filter questions (odd ones)

What is the longest filter you can fit on the car? I read about the 3in max diameter.

And here is the odd question. Im asking because this worked on my other car. Can you use any of the harley oil filters? (I ask because I can get them cheap from work).

The motorcraft FL400S/ Fram # 3600 (cross references to a bunch of nice filters) is longer than stock but has the other same features.

The s-cars use a 3/4x16 thread so look at that and the gasket diameter and bypass pressures of your harley filters. I'd spend the $2-2.50 for a long car filter though.
