Default L200 2003 auto transmission pan

Had oil change done at dealer. They called and said my automatic transmission pan is dented. Said they recomend that I get a new one. Looked underneath it is dented at the front end but no cracks or leaks. What blew me away is that they wanted $500 to do this. I have droped plenty of transmission pans to change filters. This seemed exorbitant.
Question is on this transmission is a dent about 2" wide and maybe 1" deep on the front of the pan restricting flow at all.
Does anyone know were to find a pan besides the dealer because anytime I try to get something through Saturn I feel like I,m being gauged.

Try another dealer. Send a note to and give them the part number (Or a good description) and see what they sell it for. I'm near to Saturn delaers and on changes a lot less for parts than the other. Exanple 2.2 oil filter One Dealer $5.90 the other $8.50

A new Tran Pan is around $30+ for L200.....
So if you've experience to drop a pan before, then simply DIY and save a bundle.

Of course you'll need to do ATF change while dropping the pan.

Filter $20
Pan Gasket $24

All approximate price for parts....but you get the idea.

If it's not leaking, don't waste your money. The filter pickup is almost in the center of the pan. When the engine is running, the fluid level is 2 inches or so inches above the filter.
