You should be able to use a a universal intake filter of the correct diameter.

As an aside, what was the seller you bought it from? I want to pester them into selling me an ebay intake. Or, you could just sell me yours

You can buy a K&N or AEM filter and specify the size when you order- they have tons to choose from. Plus you'll end up with a filter that won't fall apart when you wash it.

Sell it to me and buy a K&N system

But yeah, like Tom said, you can order universal filters with a certain diameter inlet. They probably have those on ebay too.

An AEM filter or K&N filter are going to run about the same in terms of $$$. I bought a cheap ebay intake for my Protege but I made sure to order a K&N filter before I ever installed it.

Lucky, I had no choice but to get the K&N since the cheapo ebay kit can no longer be found on ebay. Have to say though, it came with a lot more than expected and I calculated that it should pay itself off in a year.

Didn't AutoZone have a value priced intake system? Maybe they have a replacement that will fit.

Now I'm worried, I have one of the ebay intakes, but I haven't had it long enough to need to wash it (> a year).

What do you mean by "fell apart"?

Were you using one of the K&N recharge kits?

Yea i had the recharge kit but didnt get that for.. I was starting to run the filter under the sink the top of filter started to lift. It only seems to be glued in and the glue failed. hey what do you want for 50$ intake. I should have the AEM in by end of week so i'll see if it's the right one. I have my old filter held togeather with old faithful (ductape)..

hmmm, interesting.

Yes, please let us know if the AEM filter fits okay. Just in case that happens to mine.

It was great to no pay $300 for the intake, so i guess the 50 bucks is worth it.
