1997 SL1
Post Throttle body 1995 vs 1997 SL1

I have a spare TB with AIC and TPS from my 1995 SL1, can I use this on my 1997 SL1? Should I clean the 1997 one[dirty and idle hunting] or use the all ready clean 1995 one?

Thanks,
SRGW

Pretty sure the '95 and '97 TBs are identical. I would try the already-clean one.

Check the vacuum harness on top, it changes. Specifically they flip/flop which side of the throttle plate the big hose and little hose's are on. "Works" to swap the harness as well but there's a good engineering reason why they switched and it could be a bad idea to switch back.

I never remember which years went which way and it's an easy thing to check so I probably won't remember even if I get told yet again

Just for your info top vacuum harness is different. Wound up cleaning original and it was very dirty!! So far no more idle hunting.
