Default Kenwood KSC-SW1 Subwoofer

I'd like to add a powered sub to a 2007 Vue. Can someone tell me where the easiest place is to pick up the speaker wires for the left and right rears. Also need the speaker wire color code. Thanks for any suggestions.

I've got one of them. Sounds good. Not as good as it would with RCAs, but now I have an aftermarket head untit, and will eventually hook them up. (once I get a chance). More traditional set-ups sound better, but man, you can't beat the easy installation.

Thanks for the input. Has anyone installed a powered sub in a Vue by connecting to the speakers wires without pulling the radio?

In my previous life I used to work for Circuit City as a Roadshop Manager. The only downside to installing amps this way (your powered sub has an amp of course) is that it tends to sound dirty. However, at the low frequencies that a sub produces, any noise will be unnoticable in my opinion. I'd give it a shot.... to tag off the speaker wires I'd normally grab them at the radio and just run wires back to the amp/powered sub. It is a mess if you need to go into the door or try and find them in the harness that runs from front to back. Good luck!

It does sound a bit dirty, but it actually sounded better with my stock radio, since there was less control, and power from it. I tapped the speaker signal right at the speaker itself, ant that would be the easiest way to do it. In a system like thsi, the losses from tapping there are totally insgnificant. The only reason I pulled the radio was because I was too lazy to find another switch power wire, so I took one off of the radio, but there's some in a the fuse box, or elsewhere, just not in the back.
