Sorry for resurrecting an ancient thread, but does anyone have more information about the fix for this? I seem to be having the same issue on my (new to me) 2007 Aura XE. The info in the linked thread is not very specific as to what the problem was or how to fix it.

Not sure if you are having same issue but...I had to take my seat out and weld it.

Also keep in mind the seatbelt buckle is mounted to the seat so if seat moves forward seatbelt won’t work.

Just an update on this. I took the seat out and did not find any evidence of broken crossmembers. Thanks for your pictures -- they were very helpful.

In my case it appears that there is just some looseness in the screw and nut mechanism that moves the seat forward and back. Maybe somebody moved the seat a lot and it just wore out. The fix would probably be to get a new seat track mechanism from a junkyard. I (or actually my kid) will just live with it unless it fails completely in the future. It's got 140K miles after all. I sprayed a little lube onto it.
