Default EGR valve 1994 SL SOHC

i think I've tried cleaning this before, but if I remember correctly gas lines were mounted in front of the egr mount.

i don't know if it's ever been cleaned and it definitely looks like the original one because it's got "GM" on it and it's all rusted looking (it's actually one of the only things that have rust on it besides the exhaust manifold)

grrrrrr how do i go about taking my egr valve off
...
2002 SC1 5 speed 140k miles
1994 SL 5 speed 150k miles on engine (250k+ miles on car, tranny...etc.)
