Default 93 SC2 resonator pipe

Hi everybody. The 93 just hit 110K and finally needs a new resonator pipe--just took off OEM muffler last year. Ebay walker looks the way to go as Oreilly wants over 200 just for shipping.

Not sure which one to order as the match at oreilly isn't the maybe the match on eBay. Same part, but one says this vin, the other isn't sure. I know the flange can be orientated a bit and won't line up. I'd be happy if someone here knows which one, or a brand that would line up.

Are you talking about the mid pipe that runs after the cat to the muffler?

Yes, even several parts stores can't tell which one will fit. One states for the two door, but not the coupe lol.

Look at Rock Auto,
but watch the shipping costs…

I would just measure the resonator length and width, and the exhaust pipe diameter

Find one the correct length, I like one with necks on the ends, easier to weld

Take it to a muffler shop, have them install it…

2dr but not the coupe? WTF?
When I had SC2's no matter the year I had to state it had a "Performance Package" in order to get the right parts. No idea where the package came from, the parts counter jockey's had no idea either. Didn't matter which FLAPS, every single one thought there was a "Performance Package" when I'd locate the part number and bring it to them.

The only difference in the '91-'96 Coupe resonator from the 4dr is about 4 inch's somewhere between the catalytic converter flange and the bend under the rear seats.

AP / EASTERN 78180; DAVICO 728581 are RockAuto's part numbers for the '93-'96 SC2 resonator

All the aftermarket mid pipes I've bought are short lived because no one makes a stainless pipe (the salt belt is harsh on aluminized steel). I've cut OEM pipes off in the junkyard for best results - they're about $10 there.
