2000 SL1
Default Dream Saturn S series

Here's what I want: Gen II SW2 DOHC with a 5sp manual, but with SW1 wheels and tires (14" skinneys) Winder windows, no chin spoiler, no roof rack.

I had a '96 SW1 5sp that I absolutely loved! Got close to 30 mpg around town and close to 40 mpg on trips. I currently have a '99 SL2 auto. Love the engine, hate the slushbox. I miss the wagon utility.

I bought a Gen I SL (not even an SL1, no AC) when they first came out. Raised two babies with that car, and I still miss it.

I dream of a new Saturn again before they went GM.

It was a great company with a great car.

At least I'm not my sister stuck on Delorean. She owns one, can't drive a stick shift and can't repair it to drive it even if she did drive a stick. Hahaha

2001 SW2
Default Re: Dream Saturn S series

I know what you mean about the SW (my first brand new -S- car was a SW1 in '95) and this special care we had at the Saturn dealership at that time, like washing your car even if only in for an oil change, hum... I miss that.

In my spare time I'll rummage through other Cities' Craigslist Saturn listings in hopes of finding a special one.

I do that too! It never gets boring. ... to me.
I am also partial to the wagon because of its cargo bay.
