1995 SW2
Default Front seats

My 1995 SW2 5 speed has a a drivers side seat that has broken down padding
and very uncomfortable to sit in. Now the passenger seat is in nice shape! Are these seats interchangeable? Or do I find a way to make the bad one a pleasant way to drive my car.

The front seats bolt in the same '91-'02. The passenger seat bottom is wider than the driver but I don't believe it's enough to stop swapping. DOHC seats have adjustable headrests on both and lumber/height on the driver seat.

SC/SC1/SC2 passenger seats have "express-forward" to ease access to the rear seats that the 4dr models don't have. 3dr models '99-'02 may have it on the driver seat as well.

The buckle latch bolted to the seat changes '99->'02 so when swapping across this year range be sure to keep the latch with the car the seat is going into and swap before bolting the seat in the car.

Thanks for the information. Iíll look into finding a replacement driver seat or repairing what I have.

I swapped in a passenger seat lower foam pad from a junkyard in my old '95. It fits fine and is relatively easy to do. I doubt you are going to find any replacement driver's seats in any better shape than what you have.

Look on Amazon for "car seat cushions for short people." I found cushions at local Bed Bath and Beyond store, black rectangular, foam about 4" thick. Made a big difference.
