What's the issue you're having? Saturns are pretty simple cars and this forum has a wealth of knowledge and people who can help walk you through diagnosis and repair.

I would focus in on the valve body. I'm not 100% sure what is involved in rebuilding a transmission but if they didn't do anything to the valve body, that was likely the original issue. They would have likely torqued the input shaft nut as part of the rebuild. Ask them what was done to the valve body in the transmission rebuild.
If the maintenance schedule for transmission fluid and filter changes are not followed the valve body passages tend to get clogged up. The issue first presents as a delay and slam when going into reverse known as reverse slam. If not attended to right away then the input shaft nut losses torque and backs off. Eventually you start losing other gears. If reverse slam is caught early you can follow Wolfmans Reverse "Slam" Cure in Saturn Autotransaxles. If not caught early then you are in for valve body replacement and a retorque of the input shaft nut.

Unless they replaced the shift solenoids and line pressure solenoid I would start there. Pretty much all you need is an ohm meter and a diagram on the trans electrical connector.
Who did the trans? btw, I'm in the stl area. Highmile '95 SL1 767k and counting |
