Power Steering Input Shaft Seal

Hello all,

Has anybody replaced just the input shaft seal to the powered rack and pinion?

I was able to easily remove the seal, but it looks somewhat unique compared to regular ones.

There is no GM part number associated with it from what I can find on the online parts lookups.

Any ideas are appreciated.

There are the Edelman kits. There could be someone selling just a seal on eBay.
I noticed that Turn One Steering used a higher quality seal than the one in the Edelman kit.
If the rack is still tight, meaning the rack is not sloppy in the bushings, consider re-greasing the rack. What grease to use I have no idea. Turn One uses O.E. rack grease. Other than the services at Turn One, I don’t know where to get it. I think I saw BMW rack grease** on the Amazing Internet, but I am not an expert on grease compatibility. I think all the rack grease information on the Amazing Internet is wrong...
