I use Techron in both my car and bike and I've never had a problem, but I've never started with a problem. Techron, you know, has two products that look alike, one is a fuel injector cleaner, and the other is a fuel system cleaner. Most of the shops around here suggest either Techron, or SeaFoam.

Techron isn't available here, so I used to use STP, but now I'm in the Sates often enough , that I can pick-up Techron anytime, so I get it there.

I just buy the cheapo Fuel Injector Cleaner by GUNK. It works just as well as techron IMHO and its 1/4 the price.

Your first choice is indeed the best - TECHRON. Nobody else that I have heard of has done the research that they have. Nothing else has had the immediate effect that Techron seems to have. Not the cheapest stuff, but certainly the best.

Techron is definitely better the cheapo stuff. I've seen enough info. and seen results that it's accomplished over other brands. When shops reccomend, and use it that's another reason I believe in it. The "push me over the edge" to use it for me is that every mechanic I know which at the moment is over 40, all either say they use it regularly every 2000 miles or so, or will use it if they need a cleaner. In my area Techron is by far the number 1 choice, and the only other one that's remotely close is SeaFoam. Both of them don't cost much more then the cheap stuff.

yeah well only $2 ill go with the good stuff. and i did see an almost imidiate change in the idle going back to normal, so i guess ill just add some the same time i change my oil from now on.

but yeah i live in polk counrty fl so i would have to say super tech is the number one choice around these here parts lol (wal-mart brand)

Actually, I'd say the best is made by BG, but I don't think it's available to the public. It moght be cause someone else on here had brought it up before. BG44K, now that's the stuff.

Personally have had great results with Seafoam. Can be added to the fuel or ingested directly through the intake. It is available in both liquid and aerosol. NAPA usually has it and have seen it at Auto Zone.

Running seafoam through the fuel and sucking it in through a vac line or the intake are two different things.

Seafoam is great because it is good for many different things.

Me personally, I run Techron through the gas every 6000 miles or so and seafoam through a vac line (to break up the carbon buildup) about every 6000 miles as well.

Also, if you plan on switching to a synthetic oil, I would run about 1/3 can of seafoam through the oil for about 100 miles before the oil change.
