I have a silver 2004 Saturn ion 3 quad coupe that I daily drive, and I want to try to increase it's hp and torque as much as possible. I know tuning is almost entirely out of the question, as the 04 2.2 ecotec isn't compatible, but I've so far installed an AEM Cold Air Intake, 15x6.5 Koenig heliums and Achilles ATR Sport tires, and a full 2.5 inch catback exhaust with a magnaflow, and ZZP mid-length headers and high flow cat. With this setup, I do notice a rather dramatic improvement in acceleration. What should I do next?

Youre hurting power with that intake. Stock box, modified, with a k&n filter is the best for these.
Port the throttle body out to 60mm 06 2.4 big runner intake manifold. Your car auto or 5 speed?

Yikes. Being an 04 coupe be prepared to do a trans at any point. 03/04 coupes got cvts.
If you don't care about gas mileage, saab blue top injectors will give a bit more fuel to compliment my other stated mods.

I'm assuming with the manifold and ported throttle body, I would need some cable adapters and a tune?

2 things you need to know about the big runner 2.4 intake manifold.
Only 3 throttle body bolts line up. And you'll need to extend or use a longer hose for the brake booster going to it. Besides that, no tune. Its a speed density system. I ran a true 3in custom made intake, relocated iat, ported tb, big runner intake mani, 27.4# injectors, mid length/catted down pipe, 2.5in catback for years with 0 issues. Along with a 5 lug/rear disc swap. Mine was a 5 speed though

Swapping to a manual transmission is definitely a dream of mine, but I just don't have the money. Does GM or any aftermarket company have a heavier duty chain belt? Or something to help the CVT handle at least a slightly higher torque load?
