Saturns are known for burning a little oil. However, you seem to be burning oil at a very rapid rate. To put your mind at ease, I would have your compression tested. At least rule out the really big things.

Saturns are notorious for having sticky rings. You can do the MMO piston soak (outlined on another post) to address this. Many times, this makes a major impact in heavy oil consumption. This may have to be repeated more than once.

If you have no luck, I would start looking in the direction of valve guide seals or <gulp> rings.

Good luck

Default compression ??

do a compression check see if # 4 Cyl is low , at 125 mi / qt you may have more than stuck rings . I thought I was bad at 350 mi /qt ...you win :-(
