2008 VUE 2.4L
Default Cruise Control Sw

2008 Vue XE In order to replace the switch, I need to get the airbag off. Anyone done that? The two holes at the six o'clock position, manual says push in a blunt tool thru hole and inboard pressure. No luck

Never done that (removed steering wheel airbag) but I would use small mirror on stick to determine ...

1. approximate size of access holes.

2. what do spring fasteners look like.

3. best size for blunt nosed tool (I'm thinking large nail-head might work - like 16 penny or perhaps rain gutter support nail).

You obviously have procedures - probably as good as factory service manual extracts I'll email if you PM address ... which mention need to disable SIR.
...
