We really didn' t get out much with our 93 SC2 (5 speed blue) last year two years - and am thinking of selling.
Very clean. All good glass. Base model - not factory A/C. Manual windows. Undercarriage solid. Oil consumption minimal. Odometer inop. Brake lines replaced 3 years ago - stainless steel. Car prices are still nuts. It might go for better money in 20 years - but right now it will definely go for more than I paid for it. Whatcha think? What's a nice gen1 going for?

That's an odd combination. An SC2 with manual windows and no A/C. Sounds like torture to me. I'd love to have a GEN1 coupe though.

I would market it as reliable commuter transport in urban areas.
The prices of used cars vary depending on conditions -- and locations. When the price of gas is high, small, fuel-efficient cars are markedly more desirable (and expensive). Ehunter, in SanFransico/SantaClara could Not get a decent price there for his car, which was in "As New" condition. But, there are likely a lot of less-wealthy people who need a car. Maybe CraigsList in urban areas, and Ebay. Fotos demonstrate body structurally sound, and low oil consumption suggests will run >100,000Mi. Selling is hit-or-miss, so want wide dispersion with minimal cost. Might be worth contacting the online dealers/shippers(?). |

Not sure if it's of any help, but i tried to sell my immaculate SL2 many times. I never asked so much, like 1500$ and nobody was interested, even after a manual swap, which was the main reason people made a 180 when they were seeing the automatic shifter inside.
Last summer i was offered 3500$ for it and refused... That Covid stuff is making the prices crazy. People needs cheap cars because nobody is able to find work anymore and everything is extremely costly. You also have to consider that people with money and a lot more time because of lockdowns are searching for a hobby and old cars from when they were young are all the hype now. If you like your car, keep it. If you sell it, you probably won,t find another one after if you try to fix your mistake. That's why i haven't sold my car to that guy.

Sellers regret.....
Yeah - i sort of wish I hadn' t sold our mint 93 SW2.... But - at the time a $2100 profit on a car I was not attatched to seemed reasonable. Still does. Sorta.....
