I'm not sure what I'm looking at exactly as the photo is pretty small. Is that a windshield wiper with an air flow director to increase wiper contact?

Yes, drives side factory oem wiper with attached air deflector.

Was that stock on your car? We had a '95 and I don't remember anything weird about the wipers..

Never seen an OEM one. I've seen the aftermarket ones, years ago, not sure if those actually worked.

Unless I threw it out, I still have downstairs somewhere a kit that runs your washer fluid around a heat source then attaches directly to the wiper arms. Supposed to spray directly in front of the blade. Also have a pair of double wipers (two blades per arm) and an unopened bottle of Slick 50

Also several cans of R12, purchased when they were 99 cents a can.

My first gen Mazda Miata had a factory one on the drivers side wiper. Actually made the wiper track way worse. I ended up removing it years ago.

I saw snap on windshield wiper push down wings in the J.C. Whitney Catalog 40 years ago. (actual physical catalog where everything was illustrated in black ink line art)
