Good thing you checked, otherwise you'd have a lot of problems!

NGK plugs are factory plugs in S-Cars and they work just fine
AC/Delco plugs are the factory plugs in ION's and they work just fine. Why try fixing whats not broken? |

Though the AC Delco plugs are what came in the car, NKG may make a better, longer lasting plug. Ever thought about that? I don't have a problem putting the AC Delcos in, but I'd rather put in the best I can get. If it really is the AC Delco plugs, then they'll go back in.

Never said I was out to prove anything. I was just asking to see which was the better plug. Just because it's OEM doesn't automatically make it the better plug. Please, get over yourself.

Elizabeth: The plugs are good for 100,000 miles .... whats difference if one lasts 100 miles more or less then the other? Seeing we KNOW the AC/Delco's are 100% correct for the car. Seeing we KNOW they last about 100,000 miles. Seeing we KNOW they perform quite well. Why would we go and change that? Some people can't see the forest for the trees ............. |

As I've stated, I have no problem with putting the AC Delco plugs back in the car, but I most certainly want to put the better plug in. There can be parts that are higher quality than OEM, my friend.

the engine was engineered to run the AC delcos for 100K. I don't know how much better the NGK plugs are, but I doubt they last significantly longer than 100K miles.
