Working on my girlfriend's 95 SL2
It came with what I believe to be a custom alarm system. There is a red light built into steering wheel cover to show when the alarm is ready to go off. So i just got done replacing the oil pan and hooked up the battery and the red light is flashing, and the alarm keeps going off. Only way to shut it off is to unplug the battery again. How can I get this thing to not go off when I plug in the battery?

Guessing most aftermarket alarms systems are either in the engine area or under the driver's instrument panel. Look for the electronics box (they stand out from factory wiring) and are usually powered by tapping off the nearest power wire with splicing taps and an inline fuse encapsulated with a fuse holder, all taped or wire tied to the factory harness. Pull the fuse out, either before battery power is connected or afterwards. This should disable the alarm system unless there's a hidden toggle switch used to bypass the system. There may be other methods if other more knowledgeable members are more familiar with current alarm systems. Are there any remotes used for this alarm system?

It's an aftermarket alarm, by definition. If no documentation on the alarm came with the car (check the glove box), find either whatever makes the noise, or the control box, look for a manufacturer name and contact them. Or just decommission the whole thing. The car's most effective theft deterrent is the fact that it's a '95 Saturn. That goes doubly so if it's a 5-speed.

It is most assuredly an aftermarket system, we do not have a remote for the alarm.
The alarm is located under the dash on the passenger side, I'll see about that fuse that was mentioned.

Most aftermarket alarms are designed to activate if they see an interruption of power; hopefully you will be able to find the fuse somewhere in the harness. If you unplug all the connectors on the main module, be aware that the vehicle may not start afterwards if there is some form of "starter-kill" installed.
