What would cause my automatic seat belts not to work on my 1994 sc1? The passenger side works fine. Does it help if i say that it will go down if i give it a little push, i closed the door, and only went up one inch. The Drivers side belt will not return to the closed door position, any ideals?

That is what i got out of it...

Lubricate the seat belt track system. Start with WD-40 and then go to a light spray grease. THe WD-40 will help lube and loosen things up as well as cleaning up the tracks. If the belt has stuck in a middle position you may be to late to revive it.

Its a 13 year old electrical/machanical part that doesnt last forever.

If both sides didnt work, I'd say a fuse or controller module. Since only one side isnt working, the seatlect mechanism on that side is bad. Sometimes lubing it helps, but somehow I doubt any type of maintenence have ever been done to the tracks, so its way too late for that.

Either replace it or convert the seatbelts over to the 1995 style and never worry about it again.
