Hi all.
Okay I have a Saturn Relay 2005 with rear AC. The AC only seems to work well when I'm on the Highway going fast. I checked the two fans, and the AC condenser fan is not working at all, well the motor seems to be working, but the blade is just flopping loose like it fell off the motor. Here are my questions. #1 is it possible that the blade just feel off, and it can be put back on? is there a pin, or is it a bolt? #2 how does one remove the fan assembly? is it a simple task, or a you need to remove half the engine to do so task? The thought of spending $150 for a new dual fan is not a happy thought for me, so with that #3 can you just replace the one motor and blade? Thanks in advance. |

The service manual doesn't have any details for repairing cooling fans, just replacing them. It looks like the air cleaner, sheet metal brace and radiator hose need to be removed before the two cooling fans come out for examination, repair, replacement. Tried searching to see if these fans are used in other GM models? Youtube videos for removal, testing, repair?
Both fans are running in low speed. A/c demands cooling fans. |
