Any idea if these are any good? I believe they are made by Mitchell.

I wasn't aware that Mitchell had their service manuals out on CD. If indeed they are Mitchell (doesn't say anywhere on the page) they shoudl be ok. You may want to check the MItchell site and see if they sell them seperately and that no other software is needed to run them. I know that any type of computer manual publisher that I have run across before generally guards their manuals very tightly and you ususally need some other type of verification that says you are the rightful user.

Did a quick search for Mitchell and found their site. Not a sign of manuals on CD.

I recently looked at some of the manuals on CD auctions on Ebay for my 93 SC2. The seller failed to answer two emails over 5 days regarding shipping cost and the contents of the manuals. In addition there are multiple complaints of buyers of other car manuals stating the discs were filled with little useful information.

Based on those events I chose not to buy the disc and will wait for a set of factory service manuals to become available.

What types of jobs are you wanting to do?

For most the clintons/haynes combination gives enough insight for most driveway jobs.

If you are doing more or want exactly torques on everything, the factory books at a little under $150 are the best.

It's best to have them all though, just for a couple extra pictures sometimes.

Also the right way to use the manuals is to read the job first and try to mentally do it in your head, think about each tool you will need and what parts at each step of the way. It will save you a lot of headache, esp spending two hours to disassemble something and then run into a fastener you don't have the tool for, having to take two hours to put the car back together and run around and try to find or wait to order the tool.

I'll agree with Alkemyst. Purchased my three volume set from the dealer when I picked up the car. No better investment regards working on your Saturn. It's very easy to use -- and covers, specifically, your car.

I've got a FSM set too. They're expensive, but sooo worth it!
(IMHO).

About how much would a set of factory ones go for on a late model Saturn? Ballpark.

This looks interesting, but I wish I knew if it covered Saturns in general and my Saturn in particular.

That is just the same Chilton's manual but on a CD.

I believe you have to select which car you want and it locks out the others.

It should be the same thing the Chilton's manual has only on disc.
