This fall my wife's car started accumulating water in the driver side foot wells, both the front and the back. I don't have a sunroof and the air conditioning hasn't worked since I bought the car. The seals around the doors seem fine. What possible sources for this leak could there be. It's definitely water as there is not odor or tint to the liquid. Any suggestions are appreciated as I've been trying to "fix" this problem for my wife for a while now. |

I had the same issue years ago on a 1996 Pontiac Grand Am GT. You'll probably need a dealer or shop to pull the carpets and check the floor pan seals and seals around the firewall. Sometimes there can be a problem too if the drain channels (such as the one in the front cowl below the windshield) are clogged.
In my case, the dealership that sold me the Grand Am couldn't resolve my issue and ended up taking the car back, writing it off, and using the money I already paid towards the loan on another car. Good luck. I hope you get this one figured out. |
