oh no, just reuse the ones holding on the broken panel. spray them with penetrant oil before removal in case of rust. if there are any fasteners the replacement panel doesn't have a spot for, just omit those.

as for money, you can install it yourself pretty easily. i've done panel swaps on a couple of my cars to make them 2-tone, just look at my profile pic :3 they're pretty easy to remove and install, just take your time to ensure you don't break any plastic tabs off. and the penetrant oil is a really good idea to ensure they unscrew smoothly.

I finally had to get her insurance info from her license plate, since she wouldn't give it to me. It's Progressive.

After some argument, they agreed to pay for the damage instead of TOTALLING it, which is what they wanted, of course,

Now, the body shop they approve of (which is one I wanted anyway) says he won't do the job, because it looks to him like there will be a big space between the parts. He says the support (?) behind the light is broken, so the light will stick out.

I think he's wrong, but wanted your opinion. The light was not pushed out after the accident. But I had to go buy a turn signal light bulb from Autozone to drive it legally, and he pulled out the light and then screwed it back in - but he had some trouble. Can you see if anything is actually broken behind the light? How do I get THAT part, and what would it be called?

I don't care if something is broken in the back - I just want the light and panel to meet. Pictures of behind the light, right after accident, and after Autozone put the light back in below, so I can upload from my phone.

Also, can I put my email in here so anyone can contact me w/info?

My Question is, from the photos above, can you see if some under-support is broken or twisted, so that the panel and light won't fit back on?

Looks fine to me, though nothing is set in stone until the broken fender is removed for inspection.

How did you get the car? I see it is far from it's original home in PA. Just curious how it made it out that way.

Thanks for looking.
Oh, the fender isn't broken - just paint scraped. They will repaint it.

My father found it from a retired couple and bought it for me. We had it shipped out here to LA. Don't ever ship a car - car shippers have no regulations, lie about everything, treat the car like crap, no guarantees. Anyway, in spite of them, they only had to repair a couple small things.

I am still looking for this part: 1991 (to 1995, I think) left drivers side rear 1/4 panel. If you find something in or near Los Angeles, or that someone is willing to ship, PLEASE let me know!

Yes, I know shipping costs a lot - maybe over $100. Yes, I'll pay it.

Thanks for any leads!

How hard are you looking? There are over 10 junkyards in your area selling a drivers side quarter panel. Take an hour or two and hit the phones.

A user here in the forum named "thingsman" is offering 1995 rear quarter panels and a rear bumper cover in white! He's emptying out some of his old collection. He's definitely a Saturn fan: I saw at least 2, maybe 3, 2nd and 3rd gens at his home! He didn't charge me for the parts either! He also has some gold colored panels for a 2nd or 3rd gen too.

I just drove up to him near Delaware Ohio and picked up the 2 front fenders and the upper and lower front facia (bumper covers).

He's a great guy and very generous.

Right here and now, let me thank him for the parts and hope that other users here might benefit from his generosity.
