I just got done replacing the fuel pump on a 2003 L 200.
When I was removing the bolt for the fuel tank ground strap, the head broke off the bolt. Do I need to re-mount the ground strap, or can I let it dangle, or even cut it off? |

I would definitely remount the ground strap. The manufacturer put it there for a reason, it wasn't accidental. Failing to utilize the ground strap could lead to other electrical problems. Leaving it disconnected, or removing it, is not worth the risk of more trouble.
