where does everyeone order parts from? Taat trans
I am needing some gaskets and I found a place called Makco that has what I need, but I cant find any information on them.
I am wondering what is a good place to order from? I dont wanna wait for 5 weeks for some crappy place to ship me stuff. |

Contact some of your local transmission shops. A lot of them are willing to sell you just the parts. Even with their markup, the prices are probably better than or at least comparable to most other sources because they get a discount. They can usually get most parts very fast (next day, typically).
And because transmission shops almost always have some sort of warranty (and would loose a lot of money if the customer comes back), they will not tolerate parts of questionable quality, so you'll almost certainly get something pretty good.

Well, does Rock Auto not carry these gaskets? If not, what about a local GM dealer? I know that when it comes to some specialty parts the dealer is sometimes as cheap as anyone else.
What is the dealer price on the gaskets?
