I am trying to remove the hand crank for the window on a 1998 sc2. I need to get the door panel off and that is the only thing in my way right now. I can't get it off, Im afraid im going to break something....whats the trick?

You have to remove the inner and outter door panels. Which one are you having problems with?

There should be a C-shaped clip right behind the base of handle that needs to be popped off. I think the open side of it faces the long part of the crank. You kinda have to push against the door panel/pull out on the crank gently to see it there. Any way to get it to pop out of there should work, there is a special tool you may be able to borrow from an auto parts store that makes this much easier to remove. Someone posted a picture a while back on this forum of how to make a tool for this, try searching.
