I ran a diagnostic and I got code 11 . I checked all fuses in both boxes... checked fluid level .... checked the buss plte connector... they all seem fine... When I searched for code 11 on different racing . This is what they said to do. ......... but I do not understand what I do next ecpecially the last sentence...( the transaxle diagnostic trouble codes flash on the
SHIFT TO D2 light.) WHAT IS SHIFT TO D2 LIGHT? ALSO WHAT DOES THI MEAN: DTC 11 will set if the PCM/TC has set a transaxle diagnostic trouble code. HERE IS A COPY OF WHAT I READ ON THAT PAGE~! Transaxle Diagnostic Trouble Codes Present The powertrain control module, used on vehicles equipped with automatic transaxles, contains an engine control module (EC) and a transaxle control module (TC). These control modules communicate internally over a serial peripheral interface (SPI) bus. When the transaxle control module (TC) detects a malfunction in the automatic transaxle, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) is stored in the transaxle control module's memory and an indication is sent to the engine control module to turn on the malfunction indicator lamp. If the DLC is grounded, the transaxle diagnostic trouble codes flash on the SHIFT TO D2 light. * Diagnostic Trouble Code parameters: * DTC 11 will set if the PCM/TC has set a transaxle diagnostic trouble code. |

Hi,
First of all you'd get better responses if you posted under the correct car line. You have an SL rather than an LS. As for your problem. The PCM has two sides. An ECU for the engine control and a TCU for the transmission control. Unfortunately, the average scanner can only read an ECU code. In your case the code 11 in the ECU portion is indicating that there is a transmission code stored in the TCU portion. More unforunately you will most likely need a Tech II scanner to access this code. After you find out the actual trans. code you can start diagnosing the car. sorry for the bad news.
