Horn is hard to activate!

The other day someone was drifiting over into my lane and went to honk the horn......no horn sound. All I felt was the cover popping in and out. After I got home, I tried to honk the horn. Guess what.....no sound. I pushed it over the horn symbols, the center, all over. I finally got it to honk but had to push really hard to activate it. Has anyone else had this problem?

The horn on the Relay honks best by pressing on the top center of the horn asm
Does not seem to be the right thing but at least it will work every time if you do it this way.

Mine does it intermitantly! push some times , it works , others it dont!

The POS on the L-series has the same problem.
Unless you hit the the lil horn symbol DEAD CENTER, you have nothing.

Some safety device, eh?

Brand new bulletin just came out. Apparently had an issue where some Relay's received stiffer horn springs then spec'ed. Ask your retailer about it - it's pretty new, this week I think.

Great. That is the worst designed airbag horn I've ever tried to honk.

Does anyone have the service bulletin on this? My Saturn dealer claims they have no knowledge of this, yet they ordered a part and have no idea what to do with it.

It's just like Chrysler. They've had problems with junk ****** clocksprings since forever. Apparently so does the Relay. Not a big deal, there will be a recall. Trust me. We have like, 14 different clocksprings we keep in stock here because stuff breaks. Get used to clocksprings breaking. They're about as bad as 3 dollar tires from walmart.

We had this issue when we first got our van...they changed the airbag and no more problems. Easy fix.
