Default 2002 L200 - Hazard/Turn Signals not working. Plus driver's side brake light.

Just as the title says...

I decided today was a great weather day to finally replace my brake light until I realized we were sold the wrong bulb. Now, my rear left turn signal is not working... after fidgeting around with my father NONE of the turning signals work and neither do the hazards.

I have done some googling on the subject and have had a few referrals as to what to do but I would like to ask once more!

Should I replace the hazard switch?
What's the deal with my left brake light being out as well as that original rear turn signal? Are they related in wiring??

If I were car savvy...

Turn signals and hazard switch not working is burned out flasher, fairly common problem with the L's. The flasher is integral to the hazard switch. New hazard switch is about $35 and easy DIY replacement. Pull off the bezel on the center control panel and using 2 small screwdrivers, push in the tabs on the sides of the hazard switch and pull the switch out.

There was a recall on brake lights for flimsy common electrical plates that warped easily. Have you had the tail light recall done?

I thought is post a quick reply for anyone else who had this problem. My left blinker wasn't working but the bulb, fuses and relays were fine. I was about to buy a tail lamp connector plate when I read that all it takes is a simple fix. Bend the connectors on the bulb holder forward away from the plastic and it works!!
