Default My journey. Car back from shop

Ive been postong on here (the tech section)about my journey of getting this car fixed after break down. It did use alot of oil about a 1/2qt a day I drive about 80 miles a day. Started getting ses codes= misfires, egr,o2 codes tried fixing them they would just come back. Then it finally just quit on me one day while driving so I finally had enough and so did my girlfriend she works at a car dealership so she told my stubborn @ss to get it towed there and I did it was the fuel pump and a blown head gasket so I figured too that it could be pistons and rings cause of oil use so had them look at everything in the engine. Well it ended up being 2 pistons and rings, blown head gasket, intake leak, they said they would do a engine rebuild and would only charge me for 7hours labor I said YES thats a good deal!
Heres all of what they did all new.
Fuel pump
Fuel filter
Head gasket set
4 pistons
all rings
Timing chain kit upgraded one. I said while ur that far in put new timing chain in.
2 axel seals
and tow was in the bill was $1865 not bad

The car runs like new and the oil after diving now for over 200 miles is super clear AND HASNT USED ANY! They clean all the carbon and crap out of the engine, I cant believe how clear the oil is still. I now love that I dont need to check and add oil every single day anymore. I will still check it though!
Im hoping to get atleast 100.000 more miles out of this car now.

I have done so much to this car myself since Ive bought it about 8 months ago. From engine cradle, complete brake jobs, motor mounts, aluminum valve cover, belt, coils, icm, egr, TB cleaned, spark plugs, map sensor, ects and probably more things too. So all this work I save myself alot of money

I hope you mean the fully synthetic one right...? (assuming of course all seals were re-done in addition to the gaskets)

The reason you buy Mobil 1 is for synthetic motor oil, anyone that is buying the blends and that other stuff they offer is just wasting money on the M1 label. If Mobil 1 is recommended to you by someone, they mean the synthetic oil, not synthetic-ish. I don't know why they make anything else, they had the market dominated when all they made was "M1 synthetic motor oil" so much so that people didn't tell you to run synthetic, they said run M1...and now they make all these other types that just confuse people into thinking they are getting their money's worth out of sub-standard oil.
