Hello again,
Shortly after new tires being put on and likely not related to the tire change I started to notice fluid appearing on the driver side door and rear door as well. In addition to the driver side front wheel well. I got some on a paper towel and it wasn't oil or coolant and all was well so I ignored it. This went on for a couple of weeks and being busy I did not take the time to diagnose. Now when I drive there is a noise coming from the front left side of the vehicle. The best way I could describe it is loud road noise. It is not a whirl or clunk or anything along those lines. When I turn the wheel to the left slightly it STOPS. But driving straight or right it returns. So today I took my left front tire off. Pads and rotors are OK, about time to be replaced but not bad. So I am going to do those. However my caliper has a hole in the dust boot. So I need to replace that but can't seem to find a video. Any ideas? Also, could this be causing the noise somehow? So this is my first reply .... it sounds like you have a good chance your wheel bearing or your cv joint is bad, got a feeling it's the latter. I'm sure others will chime in with more experience. As far as you looking for a boot for your caliper look into Rock Auto.

It may be a wheel bearing. Try jacking up each wheel, then spin the wheel to listen for any whirring or grinding noises. Next, shake or wiggle the tire forcefully from several angles to check for any looseness or noise.
From your description, it could be the left front. Not sure about the fluids you described, which are not likely related to the wheel bearing.

Can you take a picture of the suspect leak?
Or google and find a picture so we can be sure what part is leaking. Is the leak thin oily or thick grease? |

You need a wheel bearing. After you disassemble the LF brakes, remove the lower ball joint and Tie rod end, and axle nut from the knuckle.
Remove the two bolts holding the knuckle to the strut, and take it to a reputable shop, along with your new bearing, and have them press it in. If you are going to replace a caliper, replace BOTH Calipers. You might as well do the whole job properly C/P/R at the same time. Unless the caliper itself is loose, that isn't a cause of any noise.
