↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑ What he said ↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑
Interesting to see the insides. Too bad parts and labor cost more then a used VUE. And GM does not even sell parts but a new tranny only, at least this is what our local GM said. And you need to do it yearly.... best way... what he ↑↑↑ said. |

hawthorne, that link was an eye opener along with learning and tips/mods presented. Does anyone know whether or not this shop followed up with a rebuilt Vue cvt in use and knows length of reliability? This video from someone knowledgeable about xmissions, overhaul and rebuilding also mentions mods and inside info only xmission shops know about.

Thanks for posting hawthorne - that was very interesting - especially the first part where he says the VTi isn't a bad transmission. I watched all 8 parts, and it really isn't a "bad" tranny . . . it's an "UNBELIEVABLY BAD" tranny! I thought that sketchy segmented belt was the major weakness. It looks like every part of that fluffnic tranny can self-destruct! This was another one . . .
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vtgk5tbrL_U I must admit though, it's nice to know there are still some folks around who are willing to share their knowledge. I also noticed the real tranny mechanics don't use those silly torque wrenches! ![]() |
