It must have been for sale for quite a while since the pics that were obviously taken just for the ad are from the dead of winter.

He probably had his price too high before and that's why it hasn't sold, but he might want to take new ones of it all spiffed up and in the summer. That way the car will look better in the pics and the ad won't look stale. Right or wrong, a stale ad gives the impression it's not selling because there's something wrong with it, or it's just not desirable for some reason.

Not CL, but here's a nice looking '96 SW2 on ebay with only 60k miles. I think the BIN is a little optimistic at $4300, however. Otherwise, I'd like to have it.

Follow-up:

Very clean, small peeling in spoiler, nothing else. Everything works. Power windows & locks, AC, PS.

No leaks, no smoke clouds, Temp Gauge is at the right spot.

Upper motor mount is cracked and I can stick my fingers in slightly, almost no shaking.

No SES light, smooth revving.

Tranny fluid is clean, but a slight burnt smell, revs up between 2nd & 3rd gear (Auto Tranny).

Can't find anything wrong with it!! He'll take $1700 cash.

Hummm... don't need it, but nice to have, then sell for more later (?)

Here's a '93 SL2 with only 87K miles and all records since purchase. The asking price of $2600 is a little more than you cheapskates like to spend on a Saturn but I still think it's a good deal, especially when compared with any comparable new car.

I was thinking that too but honestly I would just swap the trans anymore knowing what I know about Sattys now

Just different used car markets.
Around here that car would never in a million years fetch more than $1000 no matter what. I looked at the link though, that really is a clean 93. Looks great.

Being a cheapskate has noting to do with it. The car isn't worth $2600. Its an eighteen year old, $500-$800 car.
