My headlights stay on even when the car is off and the switch is in any of the positions. This is just the headlights themselves, nothing else stays on. I removed the DRL relay to no avail. The only way I can keep the batteries from draining is to remove the headlight fuses.
What can I do to narrow down the location of the fault? I tried jiggling the switch on the steering column but it didn't do anything. Thank you very much for your time. |

Pull the e-brake handle up and be sure the light switch is in the off or auto position and see. You may have to pull three BCM fuses to force a bcm reset; this may be the beginning of bcm failure so be aware of it. There are many threads about bcm failures and symptoms worth reading to have an idea of what may occur. Hopefully a reset fixes this for now.

Or, hopefully something simple like the stalk switch, which is a notoriously high failure item on L's.
