1999 SL1
Dizzy 1999 Saturn SL1 TAAT Soleniod Compatibility

I will be replacing the Transmission TAAT solenoids for my 1999 SL1 (250K Miles). The supplier I am choosing for these solenoids claims that his solenoids are compatible for all SL1 models from 1992-2002. The set of 5 solenoids he is providing seem to be identical. I bought the the car new in 1999 and have the original 4 volume set of GM shop manuals.

I have 2 questions:

Question 1: The shop manual mentions that a solenoid valve set has 2 types of solenoids in a single set. One type is extracted by twisting it. The other type pulls straight out. Are all 5 solenoids the same as the supplier claims? The videos that I have seen on the solenoid installation also seem to indicate that all 5 solenoids are identical.

Question 2: Are the solenoids the same for all SL1 models from 1992-2002 as the supplier claims?

Obviously I am trying to avoid surprises before I buy the solenoids and pull apart the valve body!!

Thank you in advance for your help!!

Later ones have a screen on the ports below the coil. As long as they came out of any later Saturn they are all swappable. The solenoid coils have a lifetime and the older ones are more prone to failure.
