Recently heard a odd shift metal noise while doing a 3 point turn.
Inspected and found that my rust was far worse than I thought. https://photos.app.goo.gl/ySAicWX55wHDGYSA9 Car is 155k v6 honda and still ran great otherwise. So what are my options. I found these youtube videos with part numbers stating that these parts are replaceable. But no explanation of how. And just how hard it would be. Anyone gone down this road before? Part numbers 88980840 88980842 23124788 25897355 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAybqTu5CVU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WwnDl1KoqRI Honestly with the used car market pricing being insane right now. I would like to somehow at least get me through another year or 2. I'm not sure if I need all those part numbers either, or 2x one for each side. What costs I'm looking at. |

I feel mine is a bit most rusted than yours. How long has yours held up?

three years and 30,000 miles. no problems.
before committing to the repair, look at everything, including the engine cradle itself. I replaced the engine cradle about five years ago. Got one out of Texas that had no rust at all. http://www.saturnfans.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=234668

Well. I don't have welding equipment. So hit up I craigslist welders with the link to your plans. The only guy willing to do it ended up doing it his own way in the end. So hope it holds up.
Def feel nice to not have the whole car move when I shift the gears ![]() https://photos.app.goo.gl/4mhxBBDpYYaUDSe6A Cost me $400 He says I have cracks on my front differential though (on my v6 3.5l awd) Should I be worried? https://photos.app.goo.gl/LL3d2CNxPU8c19BJ9 Last edited by SnowZilla; 11-17-2021 at 09:15 PM. |
