Ever have this happen

Took kid to his martial arts thing, rode clutch hard to beat traffic. When I picked it up could already tell synchros were beat but after this event she didn't want to come out or go in gear. Once got near house and pull in driveway back to normal. Also what recommendation for oil for 5spd, looking to drain and replace since has 220k and not sure what maintenance was down to car and hoping eases shifting. Thousand bucks so can't complain. 97 sl.

Good results can be had with Amsoil Torque-Drive Synthetic ATF.
Only available in gallon size.

Have you checked the clutch cylinder fluid ? Amsoil ATF is also very good and can be bought in quarts and is easier to find.

My daughters with the bad 4th synchro will one time refuse to go any gear and then shift like butter (except 4th) the rest of the day and acts up in no given pattern. Usually after you force it, then all is well for a while.
