flex pipe exhaust part or part number?
Hi I have a failed flex pipe (the pipe is rotted inside the braided section) between the front pipe and the resonator. Is there an all stainless afiermarket replacement part or a part number for the OEM part? I took the car to a trusted small auto shop and they said they would only install the part from the dealer. (if the dealer even has or can get the part) I haven't gone to the muffler shop yet...
(I would really like to get an all stainless replacement.) Thanks blaisedaddy |

See my post in this thread. Any exhaust shop should be able to weld in a new one for you.

Flex pipes are incorporated into nearly every car's exhaust system and made by a slew of companies. An exhaust shop should have absolutely no problem sourcing a correctly sized stainless unit for you; there is no need to import anything. Illustrating this, a search on Google Shopping for "2" stainless exhaust flex pipe" yields hundreds of results. Please note that I do not know if 2" is correct, I did not crawl under the car to measure, but it is likely to be close.

had mine replaced in the '08 astra in 2011. it had broken. warranty job. guaranteed for 7 years according to the gm dealer.
