Where to start with trying to make a 2002 Saturn L200 faster

So I want to make my car faster for fun and I have no idea where to start. It has 135000 miles on it and it's still my 1st car. I don't know if i should just get a basic tune up and just add some air intakes and stuff for my transmission. I don't even know what brand is good or anything. 100% new to this.

Honestly your best bet is to sell it and buy something else that has potential for upgrades.

Repost this thread or ask Charlie via direct private message to move this thread to the L-series tech forums. There may be a member or two with experience to either suggest some things to do or direct you to other sites. The 2.2L ecotec engine is used in several GM models so there are several forums that may have members already doing mods or discussing it.

I agree with you, it's an old car model and upgrading it will cause you a lot.
