FWIW, I've had no difficulty with making returns to RockAuto when necessary. They've been straightforward and honest with me, and have provided my refund in a very timely manner.

^ I agree. I bought an alternator (Tyco) from them with lifetime warranty. It failed a year later. After fumbling around to find receipts, it was online on their site. Some steps to communicate with them to issue a RMA? (return merchandise authorization) was followed by a free shipping label. This was awhile ago and I'm going on memory. Boxing the alternator with enclosed letter of explanation, I sent it back. I did have to purchase a replacement but as soon as the faulty one was received, credit was put back on my credit card. The second replacement has been trouble free since (a few years now). I must say that rockauto maintains records of transactions for retrieval by customers using several methods - name, order number, zip code, etc. I did have to jump thru a few hoops until I was able to find their computerized receipts before I could begin the return process but that's the only irritation. In the end, they came thru with their lifetime warranty promise. No more, no less. The alternator is the only part of many items I've ordered over the years from rockauto that failed.

I'm a customer like any other, ordering online and have no business affiliation with them.
