How do they sell Saturn Oil filters so cheap on e-bay?

I bid on some Saturn il filters for my VUE. I lost but how do people get cases ot these filters and sell them so cheap? Are they stolen? On person won a case of 12 for $31. Less than $3 each

I pay $4.06 for them on my discount. That is 15% over their cost.. so they get them for ~$3.45.

I don't think they are dealers selling thme but how can they sell a filter (Saturn) OEM for under $3.

Theft from dealer or distribution network?

Counterfeit parts are big problems in other countries for automobiles.

I think FORD recently raided a Chinese factory and seized a lot of parts for FORD Taurus's that were marked "Genuine Ford" parts.

maybe factory seconds

the ones that have a blemish or something that makes it so they cant sell them as "New".

People may not know that they're bootleg, The only way to tell would be to pop one open and compare.

a co-worker dropped 3 crates FULL of oil filters for the new chevy equinox (vue platform) last night. Things will probably just get thrown out.
