Default Strange electrical issues

We have a 2002 SL1 with 174,000 miles. Bought it new, can't say enough good about this car, we love it.
Over the weekend, we drove 4 hours on the interstate to a relatives house. We didn't have any problems on the trip there, parked the car over night. The next day, the car wouldn't start (not even a click), we jumped the car and it started right up. But now the strange part, a bunch of things don't work on the car now. AC doesn't work (the compressor doesn't come on), day time running lamps don't come on, rear window defroster is on constantly, THE ODOMETER MOVED BACKWARDS (from 174,000 to 169,000), the trip odometer reset, I don't think the radiator cooling fan is coming on, radio clock skipped (now 30 minutes late). The car seems to run fine, we drove it home 4 hours. I do not see any blown fuses.

Any ideas (maybe we hit a time-warp?)? I suppose as long as the odometer keeps moving backwards, I should be happy!

How are those battery terminals? Clean and free of corrosion? Tight?

Pretty tight but would loose cables explain the AC odometer and other problems?

You may have more than one issue. If the car wouldn't start and needed a boost then there may be battery/battery cable/cable connection/loose belt/alternator problems. Battery age? Cables corroded? Loose drive belt? Alternator? These questions only address why the car needed a boost start. Why the odd ball indications is another matter.

Some errant indications are from the body control module. The a/c control signal goes through the bcm. Defrost, daytime running lamps and maybe the odometer. Search past threads about bcm's. Removing battery negative for a minute may help reset electronics.

What's been replaced with 174k miles?

Unplugging the battery seems to have fixed the bugs. I have not looked into the alternator yet to figure out why the battery died in the first place.
